Would love some clarification on this. A google search is suggesting it's a moral grey area, more so determined by intent rather than a standard definition. Even still, I'd like clarification on this - I tend to constantly reset mobs to give more people time to make it TO the mob. A lot of people appreciate it, but it seems some things just went FUBAR today when I logged in and started to hunt.

So does anyone know if this is officially a no-go now? Ever since I started hunting, people have always requested people reset mobs during the fight. Now that I've got my i110 axe / i110 dps accessories going, I can finally be of help with the people who get frustrated by the insta-nukes. But if it's something that's against the ToS now, I'll need to stop ASAP.
Guess I'll wait and see what a GM does tonight (if anything) since it seems like this fight in particular is a bad one to reset on. I appreciate the guy who came to me in tell though - he's a pretty cordial fellow unlike some of the more abrasive people in shout and really tried to help explain it a bit. :)

Almost forgot. This was Alectdracton (the A-rank outside Horizon) for the frame of reference with the mob we were fighting.

As far as I know:
1. If you are resetting when you are getting paid by money (gil), you are disrupting gameplay, and bringing unfair sportsmanship to the hunt/notorious mark.
2. If you are resetting because you hate the group or you intend to troll, you are disrupting gameplay.
What you're doing -should- be fine, as long as you don't do it too...often. -

Only reset early pulls i.e troll pulls. Other than that don't reset unless you feel extra generous for the people still otw.

Resetting is considered disruptive play regardless of the reason. It is against ToS and a serious offense. I would have to go back through the ToS, but there's a specific portion on disruptive game play. I was told by a GM this was a grief tactic, the reason is irrelevant.
As for this --
There's no such thing as an "early pull." This was developed as a thought by the people. It is not a real thing. If my group is there, I have no reason to wait, and it's not an early pull for my group. Not my fault people didn't react fast enough. Say what you will, but I'm not a people pleaser, and it's not my problem.Quote:

People define "early pull" as around 30 seconds to when it was called out in your Linkshell/Shout/Free Company.
Again, there is no "real" early pull. You just happen to get there late when it was announced. -

if ou call out a time for the pull, which should be done, so that people are warned and can determine to risk getting there before the pull, and someone decides to do it before the determined time, early pull.
for most hunts that ive participated in, they announce the time in region for pull. if it is pulled early, the player is usually blacklisted and allowed to die. -
