Issue with synthesis ability "Brand of Wind"

Steps:
Crafting an item with Wind Affinity.
- Quality steps, etc etc
- Use Ingenuity II
- Use Brand of Wind
-- Get MUCH lower progress than expected! Fail synthesis because of it.

Brand of Wind is affected by Ingenuity II, as it turns out my next Brand of Wind WAS affected by it but the first one wasn't.
Losing these materials kind of hurts, item was supposed to be a present for celebrating a friend beating T9.

Looking at the accepted bug forums, this is pretty much the same issue as:

Curious to know what you tried to craft.
I was under the impression that it was only the vintage items that had elemental affinity, but I guess I was wrong.

Ok, that sure sucks. Were you unable to use Reclaim in order to try to get the items back, or you don't have that ability? (cost 55 CP)
It sounds like you used Brand of Wind more than one time during the craft, and it wasn't on the last step that it failed you, so should have been able to use Reclaim...
Not saying that the problem should be ignored, just noting that there is a chance to recover items when you notice a failure is likely.

I wasn't expecting one of the progression step to get borked for no valid reason, so no I didn't use reclaim and didn't have enough CP for it at the end.
BofW is 15 or 16CP. I know what reclaim does, thanks.
