Server Choice

Hi, I'm new to Final Fantasy and I was wondering if anyone could recommend any good servers. Most of the servers that seem highly recommended are currently closed to character creation...sooo if anyone could help I'd appreciate it. I am located in NA but I don't mind EU servers so long as most people speak English.

Edit: Notably I am looking for servers with at least decent populations and active communities.

It is best if you tell at which time you play. Because even if servers are worldwide there are some hours where you have a lot less people in them.

Sure thing: My game-play time is fairly sporadic, but it's usually 6pm-midnight PDT if for some reason I have free time I'll start at 1pm and play intermittently; if that helps anyone.

We're a small-mid size server!
Hunts are more organized. People are friendlier and your reputation carries the weight of mountains.
I'm in a fantastic and supportive Linkshell for newer players that regularly runs difficult "older" content with the sole purpose of helping players get to experience the game without massive queues and terrible groups (we don't carry, though, so you still need to work!).
Alternatively, you could go to Balmung or Hyperion. Those are super packed servers with loads of people on 24/7.
Coeurl has a sizable EU population for off hours and a medium-high sized active population during peak US hours.
