I'm thinking about getting a second character made up sometime soon. Is there a limit to a number of characters per player in a free company, or would I need to find another free company?

There is no limit to the number of alts you can place in your FC. Keep in mind the total number of members in a FC is 256 though, so having alts does count towards that total limit. I don't imagine that being a huge problem for most players though.

Actually I think the FC membership cap is 512; or maybe that's just something else about the FC I'm misremembering.
Point is, yeah, there's no limitation on multiple characters from one account in one FC, and frankly if there's any FCs out there that even are coming close to the 512 person limit I'll be surprised. -

the cap is 512. the only thing to take into considration with alts is are you going to be playing them equally and allowing them both to be built up, because a lot of people do it and one suffers because people dont play it very much.
