Was FFXIV Ever Free For A Month?

Besides the beta, extended beta, the free weekend that just passed and the now 2-week free trail. Was FFXIV in its entirety ever free for a month?

IIRC the first month after you purchase the game is free.

yeah cause remember having to wait for that free month to be up to get ahriman mount

2 weeks for returning players from 1.0, 1 free month for a game bought ( so you don't have it as a returning player )

And there was a free week as a 'We're sorry' for the hang-ups during the first week of retail. This game has had it's fair share of free time.

1 month after game bought (in 1.0 we was have like year~ free ;P )

If I remember correctly I think last September was free, it was within my free 30 days but I think server congestion was so bad it was free for everyone who paid in August.

As Gilraen said, there was a free week to compensate server problems.

You get a free month for purchasing a game and you also get a free month if you buy and register a game for a different platform.

this game was free for almost 2 full years till they shut down the servers and revamped it XDDD

Nope, the game had a subscription from november 2011 until it shut down iirc.
