Offering FC Private rooms to squatters?

What would be the drawbacks of opening our FC to players that want a Private Room without the hassle or complications of FC's? Speaking towards the "lone Wolf" player here. We have a 4 man FC and have been chatting about doing this and am looking for other opinions here. We ofcourse would limit these "squatter" members to the bare bones access within the FC but they would atleast get access to having their own Private Room.

Thoughts here?

EDIT: Apparently the term Squatter has negative applications (yes I live in a bubble) and was suggested to use the term Boarding House which I feel is much better. Please disregard the squatter term...

Your house your rules, just make sure you're careful about the elements you invite in (kick system in 2.35 will help this) otherwise i don't really see anything wrong with it if it's what you'd like to do.

I see a lot of players complain about not having access to their own private place to decorate and what not, seems greedy to me to have this whole house to ourselves. Might be interesting to be crafting at the house and have "random" people coming in and out without knowing (or really caring maybe) who they are... could be interesting?

As Ryel stated, the biggest concern is someone you don't want associated with you getting in for a room. Remember that these people will be running around with your FC tag on the server. If they decide to troll/insult/bother other players, it will be associated to your FC.

Ohhhh. didn't think about abusive trolls. And that's why I posted this. GREAT POINT and thankyou.

We're supposed to be getting private houses at around 2.38 so I would hold off a while.

If you can run people through some sort of screening process like they are applying for the guild then it could work and I think is a good idea.

No harm really besides it being a Gil sink even if you wait for private housing.

Too bad the system didn't display your FC rank... Other players would see they are just a squatter although that would mean the entire server actually know what the hell that meant. Oh well, guess your responses answered our question. Try to do something nice and be prepared for Trollville right...
