Marriage system

Not sure if it has been suggested already but i think it'd be a nice addition if you had a marriage system, maybe those couples who get marriage will have access to specific couple only quests with exp/gil/etc etc rewards and maybe a title "Blabla's wife" "Blabla's Husband"

I totally agree with this. I actually posted a thread about it just this morning. This is what I proposed:

So I don't know how many of you out there are romantics as I am... but I am and so is my wife and both of us play FFXIV. Well... we were talking this morning about FFXI and how in that game you were actually able to get married if you wanted and we both agree you should be able to in this game as well. I think they should take it to the next level though... I think there should be an optional quest that the two intended have to enter into partied together, but then they have to overcome a series of trials and adversities in the game to be truly united with one another... So you get to have a great epic love story just between the two of you... what do you guys think?

It's already been confirmed that a marriage system will be put in place in the near future. Being the female half of a gaming couple, I'm super excited about it.

Mmmhmm, weddings definitely are coming soon (they'll officially be known as 'eternal bonds', due to the fact that it will allow characters of any sex to marry each other - with the 2.4 patch at the earliest, according to the recent Q@A session from the 'Letter From the Producer' (specifically, found here:

There's also been artwork shown in the past of what to expect in weddings, such as an elaborate bridal chocobo carriage, an apparent special white bridal chocobo mount, and of course, a bridal gown and groom's tuxedo. :3 Incidentally the area where it's believed weddings will be taking place is already in the game - it's the Sanctum of the Twelve in the East Shroud, although it's currently sealed off at this time, but concept art has been shown of what appears to be the interior decorated for a wedding. But yes, weddings are coming (my bf and I are also eagerly awaiting it too for obvious reasons hehe). ;)

This is awesome News!!! I'm so excited for this now! I don't even have to change my sex to marry my wife which is totally amazing and I couldn't be happier about! The marriage system was thought out… ok. Wedding clothes, mounts, quests, rings and ceremonies. Except that marriage is between husband and wife not 2 wives or 2 husbands. God made Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve. He loves homosexuals that He wants them to turn away from it. Thats not how God made you.

Whoa there buddy, this is a video game not real life. There's a time and place for everything but that time or place is not here or now. Please do not be posting your religious beliefs here. Besides, no one is making you marry Steve so don't take part in same sex marriage in this game.
