Remodel Exterior

I've been wanting to remodel the exterior of my Free Company house, but am having trouble doing so.

Am I able to change the exterior theme (e.g., Glade to Riviera) in some way, shape, or form? I have all four pieces for the "basic fixtures" that I want to use outside, but I simply can't seem to apply them. Can I not do this. or am I just doing something wrong?

No, each zone is locked into the house designs designated to that zone. IE: Mist houses can only use riviera themes.
