-> "Control Settings" -> "Character" -> "Effects while in motion" -> All/Own/Off
-> "Display Name Settings" -> "Display Name Presets" -> All/Default/Minimize/Hide/Custom
-> "UI Settings" -> "Display Flying Text" -> On/Off
Sqaure Enix, please add text commands for these options. And also make it so that the Custom profile for Display Name Presets is not lost forever upon changing to another Preset.
I sincerely hope you will consider this. It would make life so much easier to be able to add these commands to a macro.

You don't really give any kind of reason why they should make the changes you suggest. If I had to guess though I'd say it's for changes you make when you go into CT/ST so you can actually see what's going on instead of seeing walls or text.

well it would be useful in there too. specially for PS3 or mid-range users. but it would be nice to have a macro for Hunts and like Behemoth or Odin FATE's.
while i have no clue what "effects while in motion" mean. many people have guesses. either way, effects must be processed/rendered. so disabling those would seem worth it to me. and while at a Hunt i notice the FPS shoots right up after hiding the UI. but this won't be good at a FATE. because then you can't see who to heal and such.
there is already a command called /battleeffects self/party/other all/simple/off. so i have this in a macro. and it does help, but only slightly. -
