Reading the post on the forums for 3 months shows that FF14 is dying steadily!

Madruck here, Yup the guy everyone likes to troll about my issues with the Atma drop rate and how everything in FF14 is based on RNG not skill. For the past 3 months I have been coming back on these forums every few weeks to see what new issues have come up into the game since the new patches. With all the blogs on here about hunts and how they are killing Dungeons, the Atma questline seems like a small apple compared to this major issue. But I am also seeing dozens of people post about Crafting and how it really is to much of a time consumption to even bother for the average player who logs into the game for maybe 2-3 hours a day. Also on how Ramuh is a waste of time to do since people only do hunts to get gear now and here by negating most reasons to raid except for the elitist who state "We do it for the Fun of it". continued below......

Almost a year ago this game was the shining star in a cloud of MMO's that had great potential.....only to be reduce by bad PVP design, worthless time consumption based on RNG that the majority of people want changed which SE continues to ignore...."So the players who did invest the time do not get upset", to a system of Elitism being bred into the game design that makes the average Joe move on once they play long enough. If you want to have personal housing....nope join a FC....but I do not want to join a FC......to bad then you do not get to use a aspect of the game you paid for....to bad! Now a flurry of comments are going to be posted below from the major fanboys of this game since I am treading on something they cherish no matter how many flaws SE makes.....because as they like to say "I am one voice in a chorus which they will never listen to"! Lastly, I love FF14, but with all that it has it is not enough to keep a average player in the game playing as many like to state FF11x2!

Everyone knows the forums are a cesspool and not at all indicative of the health of the game. I assure you, there are at least 1000x the people actually playing and enjoying the game than there are complaining on the forums.

I would have to agree with TheCurls but to your statement Madruck what I think is happening as well, is you have a lot of people that Sprint to level 50 SLAM GEAR GEAR GEAR and then you get well crap what do I do now. I see a lot of people lose intrest of repetition

It has been my experience that there are a lot of gamers Personalities out there. (Bartle Test) was one of the studies out there that broke down peronalites into 4 Major types Achievers, Explorers, Socializers, and Killers. That being said there is plenty of stuff for the Achievers, Killers to do and accomplish. I personally tend to be an explorer and I Love New and undiscovered area's and lore and history in games I will spend hours going to the corners of the world to learn something new I LOVED the sch backround story and I want to now more on The Floating City of Nym. and also more about where the Tonberries came from. But at times the game becomes repedative for me and I would like nothing better then to FIND SOMETHING ELSE to occupy my time. so I do and then come back. I am not sure how Socializers feel with a Storyline that is pretty much Solo other then The Special content. but the balance is interesting

I highly doubt FFXIV is dying when at even 3am-9am on a weekday you can logon and do hunts while still having stiff competition I.E. 100+ people killing 1 mob.

3 months after release it will go F2P! Trust me!

You got no idea what RNG hell means if you haven't tried AION, in AION you even get quest rewards thats RNG, instead of give everyone who done the same effort to finish the quest the same rewards, it gives you a bag, and opening it have a slight chance of what you actually need. In AION you get to socket gear as well, each gear got 6 slots, they call it manastone intead of material there, but if you fail at socketing cause of RNG, you lose whatever you put into the gear before, so if you failed on the 6th slot, the other 5 slots becomes empty, imagine players here dealing with that lol, riot time. Oh AION got rng in skill chain as well, so after using certain skills in an order, you get a slight chance of being able to use the last skill in the chain
