I am of the understanding that Frontlines is a "brand" of PVP and currently Cartenou(?) Flats is the first part of it. With any luck this means there are more PVP maps coming.
Can we have some kind of MOBA map? like DOTA or LoL where its a 5v5 tower defense style PVP?
Anyone else with ideas or requests for other types of PVP content?

I'm not sure how a MOBA map would work in this game, but I do enjoy the playstyle of LoL's Summoner's Rift (minus the toxic, immature 13 year olds and trolls) so I personally wouldn't mind it (plus, the current Frontlines map is already like LoL's "Dominion"). I'd like to see more objectives added other than just taking bases and the middle drones.

It doesn't always have to be 72 players 3 GC though though. It could be 2 random factions queue'd together. Why not allow an attacker / defender Grid vs Ul'dah or something.
SWTOR had some fun matches. It just ... for a game focused around PVP it only had a couple maps that got old after 50 levels.
As far as I knew, this was always going to be the first in a series of maps with "Frontline" being a word to refer to large-scale PvP in the same way that "Battlegrounds" was used in WoW. Being that FL seems so popular I really hope we get a regular increase in PvP content and don't have to wait 6-12 months between new maps. I already want more! :D
PVP maps generally are not all the same. WoW started releasing their PVP periodically as well when it launched. SE has less experience with player vs player content than Blizzard (no RTS competitions on SEs side), so they would be trying to release things slowly so that they know what works with the engine and what-not.
I can't wait to see what they release next, I would like a bigger PVP map and also a smaller PVP map like a capture the flag or a king of the hill.
They need to work on the basics first before they move onto any other forms of PvP.
I would like them too, despite not really wanting to say it, look to WoW for some PvP inspiration.
As it stands we have "Alterac Valley" in the form of Cartaneau flats. Albeit, something that would require going into the enemies base and gradually taking it over until you reach their HQ and then fighting their commander would be nice :p
It would be nice to see some capture the flag. It would be team A vs. team B and would pair you against a random GC. So you would be Flames and would be matched against either the Adders or the Maelstrom.
Some other forms of PvP would be nice too. Something like Arathi Basin where you just need to hold points (I know flats is basically that, but I think it's more like what I mentioned before).
