A big thanks to all the hard work SE is doing

I just logged in for a couple hours tonight for the first time since about April and it was night and day compared to what I remembered. I am not going to claim that this patch was perfect (because the amount of rage on the forums speaks for itself) but for a casual player I have noticed a massive difference.

Couple things that really struck me.
1. The world is starting to feel alive for the first time for me, quest npcs, cutscenes, grand companies, outposts, beastmen (the new music in the black shroud!!!)
2. The new leve quests may not be abuseable for parties anymore but they actually felt fun on my Thm I didnt feel like I was either going to blow them away or get instantly murdered 20+ times while doing them.
3. The new battle system feels.. right to me, if a little clunky. I always felt the stamina gauge was a pretty terrible system this AA is perhaps a little slow but it does seem to strike the balance between being too busy and having not enough to do as a mid level THM.

I now feel for the first time since beta that this game will not only make it alive to the PS3 but that when it does people will be forced to take note, I love the direction this is taking great job dev team and to everyone that is frustrated I would just say take a little step back and look at where we were, where we are, and where we are going because it looks to be an exciting place.

I could go on all night about the little things that have changed (repair costs/mats anyone?) but I will leave it at that I just felt the urge to let the dev team know there are some of us that will be playing on a regular basis from now on because of the work you've done in the last couple months.

Although it's not perfect, it is definitely a great step in the right direction. The SE team has been putting their heart and soul into this, and upcoming patches for FFXIV.

It very hard and boring to play DoW/DoM before patch because it sick to spam 11111 for countless hours ( not counting the time when I tried to use skill and ended up cancel skill, or have to re-press again )
This patch make battle system more fluid and more strategy.

Also, not mention the simplify version of repair system that make repairing for other people and ourself more fun and rewarding. The only thing that bug me sometime is the people in game that don't care about repair mat cost and just put 1000 gil for grade 5 dark matter ( it cost 4500 DUDE! ) well, but most of people know this truth and their minimum price for repair is 5000 gil. :D

I can't wait to see the change in 1.19 that will simplify all recipes, because right now.. all low-level gear take tooo much effort to make one ( required high-level mat from lot higher level class ) and it lead to super expensive gear for rank 12. I hope they will revise this thing and make crafting low level gear lot more easier and required just only mat from same rank of class. It will be more fun^^

Here's some of my idea. Note : DM = Dark Matter

DM Grade 1 = 100 gil / Repair service = 200-500 gil
DM Grade 2 = 600 gil / Repair service = 1000-2000 gil
DM Grade 3 = 1500 gil / repair service = 2000-3000 gil
DM Grade 4 = 2800 gil / repair service = 3500-4000 gil
DM Grade 5 = 4500 gil / repair service = 6000-10000 gil

Because all DoH use lot of money and effort to train skill, so I think for higher grade, the higher price is lot reasonable.
