Suggestion for the future of wards. We all have menders and mechants in our respective houses at this point and i was wondering what to do with the ward center area where under used merchants are residing. Why not make an Arcade!? Mini-games from FF game series, perhaps blitzball? Ward blitzball tourny ^^. Also, maybe a Scavenger hunt for all FC in the ward for a free action purchase or something.
An 'arcade' of sorts is already coming (the Gold Saucer), and it's not going to be part of the Residential Area, but it's own zone (when that will be introduced is anyone's guess, but Yoshi has confirmed they're working on it, and that it will feature a card game and possibly chocobo racing, amongst other things). Besides, if you like minigames there's already the Toybox in the InnRoom with the old Parley mini game from version 1.0.
The vendors in the Wards are perfectly fine - they sell stuff after all you cannot buy on the vendors you can stick in your house (like the ward-unique furniture). So there's no need to remove them.
Threw a junkmonger in my room (for dyes and dark matter) so now i dont have to return to town ever again...
Would be nice if we had a little more to do around the Mist. Even something as simple as a way to see each other's fishing results so you can have a bit of a fishing contest. We have mine entrances as well (it looks like it atleast), reminds me of the (temple) maze from Goemon. You'd pay to go inside, and you'd have to traverse a dynamic maze and have to reach the other side before running out of time. And you had to weigh off if you wanted to keep looking for items but possibly lose everything if you ran out of time, or if you found the exit early on, pass through it but not pick up everything there was to find in the maze. Something as simple as a few potions, or single digit myth tomes would be a lot of fun.
Or by that same principle, clamming from XI. You get a bucket and you fill it with trash on the beach at random. The fuller it is the more you are rewarded, but if you happen to get something that goes over the bucket's limit it breaks and you lose everything inside. And had to pay a angry miqo'te lady 200 gil for a new bucket. Maybe she needs to cool off a little (like an hour?) before handing you a new one.
