PS3 to PS4 Install Update Files Problem?

I downloaded FFXIV on PS3 and recently got a PS4 and I re-downloaded FFXIV from the PSN store with the redeem code from the Mog Station. After installing the game, it came to the Application Update that says, "Installing update file..." then it would flash the XMB (Xross Media Bar) back and forth. There's no indication of the time and percentage of when FFXIV update would be completely installed. It just flashes back and forth screaming, "Installing update file..." This went on for 2 days. I would appreciate any information and help on this matter. Thank you.

No one still knows what the problem is? I've tried PS4 system restore, data rebuild, re-installing, and nothing seems to be working. The thing is, when it is installing something, it should already be automatically installed and it doesn't really take 2 days to install something. So I think it is a bug. I really want to get back in FFXIV and I would really appreciate some help, feedback, ideas, etc. Turning to Square-Enix will not work because I'm sure they have their hands full on other things. Thank you.

Is the launcher update file (prior login into the SE account)? Have you tried to exit the game (close application) and go to notifications in PS4's main menu to see if the update has fully donwloaded and to install it from there?
