Returning player can't access my character

Hello, so I was wondering if there is a way to access the JP data centrals from NA? When I started on the game at release I played on the jp servers as they were much better back on ff 11 so it swayed me to play there. Well with the free log in weekend I figured I would give it another go now that I have a much better computer, but i can't access my toon. The monk is nothing special gear wise its just level 50 with DL armor but we made war upon the log in raid boss constantly for 2 months so there is that sentimental value so if anyone can tell me if I can access the jp side or server transfer that would be awesome. Thanks.

I believe you should just pick the JP datacenter that has your server in it to play. Whenever we came back they had added the datacenters confused me at first but I found Cactuar right there inside one of them.
