Ok, let's gather round and grab some sticks and let's pass the time laying into these dead horses.
1. Cross-Class tweaks
I would love a little overhaul of the system. What would be ideal for me is if we could use our five slots not just for select active skills, but passives too. As a PLD I don't really use WHM skills in dungeons, but they sit on my bar just cause. I would gladly swap something like Protect for Enhanced Foresight or Bloodshower.
2. Dark Knight

Please..... Eorzea needs a healthy fear of the Dark.
3. Some new Job missions and Rewards
We had a system like this in FFXI. Maybe a series of missions that unlock 5 new traits. To be fair you could only use one trait at a time. You would be required to equip them to the Soul Crystal. Ok PLD pick, do you want more arrgo? More HP? You can only pick one at a time.

the game is literally dying
Lets implement a system for people to catch up for gear and what not ....* New patch Drops harder content same players fall behind
I looked in PF like a month ago at least 20-35parties looking for Raids, Practices etc etc
Now the incentive to actually complete them are obsolete
why spend 30mins-1hr practicing for something that hey I might not beat
when I can do 4 hunts and get a way better outcome
Hunts are killing the game slowly its a virus and we must amputate it

I would like to see Samurai as a job.
But mostly I would like to see some story. I'm talking like Chains of Promathia in XI. Something that is challenging and takes hours to complete certain tasks and can take a casual gamer months to get through. Not another lame dungeon with a short tale that doesnt even last an hour. Something epic.
That is really what this game sorely lacks. There is zero story. Even the overall quest line was boring and all the lame side stories just distract from it till it becomes disjointed. Add to that the many times you're demanded to skip cut scenes and forced to watch those disjointed as well.
SE used to put effort into content. Now its just shinies.

I'd like to see Dark Knight too, though it would probably make the most sense as DPS and what we REALLY need are additional tanks and healers (especially with Rogue/Ninja already on the way).
But what I most want (and probably will never get): Make all items, including all Untradables, account-bound, not character bound. And put in a storage space that is shared between all the characters that are on the same sever and part of the same player's account.
Just because the armory system exists and one can level multiple classes on one character doesn't mean the game has to be quite so hostile to those of us who really like having more than one character.
EDIT: Not actually ALL items - I can understand not wanting something like Fantasia to be passable between alts because then you'd have no need to ever pay SE to buy more of them. So keeping things like Veteran Rewards character-bound is fine - every character you have automatically receives those anyway. What I'm really getting at with the above is that if I have multiple characters, I'm not leveling every class on any of them, so if Paladin DL armor drops while I'm on my White Mage character, I'd like to be able to just give that to my Paladin alt rather than shrug and go oh well, guess I can never use this.

I really want a Samurai tank class. Also:
- a better way to track achievements (% completed, 150 of 300 completed, etc.)
- desynthesis food
- a revamped Wolf's Den (ramps, obstacles, multiple levels, traps, mobs, and new, more interesting rewards)
- the ability to use PvP gear for vanity regardless of rank (or make it so you only need to have reached rank 40 in ONE Grand Company)
- more linkshell options (like seeing how long it's been since players have last logged on)

I would like the duty finder to have two options:
Duty Finder- Speed
Duty Finder- Explore
So when I feel like helping I can check explore. When I feel like speed running I can check speed.
I think it would relieve a lot of the community's current stress.

Not much from me, but there are a few nice things I'd like to see:
- The missing maps from version 1.0 (West Shroud, the missing parts of Coerthas, the whole southern half of Mor Dhona around Camp Brittlebark, the missing 'open' dungeons like Mun-Tuy Cellars)
- As well, some kind of jukebox function that can play both ARR and version 1.0 tracks (maybe have it as a furnishing for Private Chambers?)
- If not a jukebox, have at least some means of changing the music inside Free Company houses/Private Chambers - the standard residential area music gets a little grating after a while.
- And I've said it before and I'll continue to say it again (and especially as it seems hinted at in the new Minion Guide), but, the return of 1.0's Path Companions! My chocobo companion is nice to have helping out, but I miss having an actual npc fighter help me out in combat, especially when they actually participate in conversation during story quests. Of all the things that 1.0 did well which were scrapped in ARR, this is the one thing I miss the most and would love to see return. :)
