Hello all,
I hope this finds everyone in good health. I am writing this for two reasons. One, to express my own wants, ideas and hopes for the future. But mainly 2) to open the idea for other people to add thier wants and ideas for the future of FFXIV.
I think it's safe to say that v1.19 is well on it's way, and we are all adjusting in our own way. In my opnion, V1.18 is a great stepping stone towards making this game worthy of the title it will someday deserve.
There have been major foundation changes to the battle mechanics (role adjustment, auto attack etc). Major changes to the game as a whole. Dungeons prove a long awaited hit and as an extra dimention to the game experience.
Let us not forget also, the long awaited Grand Companies, and the aspects they have to offer. Of course, we are only having a taste of what they can offer the game, but there is very little negative feedback from them so far (to my knowledge).
Sublte changes have also added to the experience of the game. Garlian attacks and the increasing sighting of troops have got us all talking. I hope you all survived what you whitnessed :)
I'm sure I can rattle on about all these changes (good/bad, everyone has their own opinions about this), but what do we hope to see grow from these changes?
As always, Yoshi has maintained that he wishes to push the game forward, never back. With that in mind, let's take the same stance on this and think of ideas and changes which have not already existed (eg: lets leave the "put archers back to former glory" etc outside the door) :)
Personally, I would love to see much more diveristy in the world. We have small towns on existing lands yes, and they are a great addition to the world we play in. However, I would love to see other lands also. Why not something in and on a mountain? A land where you have to scale a mountain both on its outside and through the maze like caves which riddle through it. A Snow themed area would be a very nice addition to. A place where snow blizzards block your line of sight and confuse which way you turn. With that, maybe slowing down your movement a little unless you have the correct footwear.
As for transport. Chocobos and Airships of course haha! But how to obtain them is a different matter altogether. I personally think the airships would be a simple payment of Gil, the price depending on where you go. As for Chocobos, I think this should be aquired through a large collection of Grand company points. something to work towards and cannot simply buy your way out of the situation.
These are jsut a couple of ideas. But these are an invitation for you to write your own. I hope you will give well considered, balanced additions and ideas. More importantly, I hope you enjoy thinking of them :)

I don't understand why repairs were completely revamped. Couldn't they have added Dark Matter on top of the already existing system?
I do like the new music changes. However, hamlets should have their own unique music, so should dungeons. What are all these tracks on the OST going to be used for? Expansions?
Also, Chocobo jousting. -

At this point, all I can say is content, content, content. Chocobo related content, airship content, ifrit, more raids, etc.
With the chocobos and airships, I think it should be an elongated quest chain to get access to them and please make it a high rank one so the lower level players will need to travel on foot for a bit before they get their wings. -

But that leads the question why they changed it originally. I hope your idea of an expansion is right on the mark, Although I would prefer if they got the basics resolved first.Quote:
