Why Can I Not Play with Higher Graphics Settings?

Hey all,

Based off the recommendation for hardware for the game, I am basically only off by a generation of a video card. However, if I try to run the game on anything higher than standard then lag starts to kick in.

I suppose it's my CPU, but it will turbo boost to 3.30Ghz while running the game.

If your on a laptop (which is what it looks like with the M after your gfx card) you will have difficulties with running the game no matter what. Unless your laptop is extremely over the top you won't get the same graphical abilities of a desktop.

It's a laptop? then sorry no matter what you can't run at better setting even if you have a 330m it still a laptop vs a real video card. You would need to waste a big amount of money to play at very good setting with a laptop.

With 450gts it's around 100$ and could run the game on pretty high-setting you could easy build a desktop for about 500$ that can run the game on high setting without issue. but there pretty much noting you can do for that laptop.

Also a note CPU have noting to do with ffxiv it all run on GPU memory which you don't have a good one :( my gf played on a dual core and play high setting without issue.

Well, I play on a laptop because I'm away at college and I didn't drag a desktop with me. I've had this laptop for about a year and a half now. So if the graphics card is a bit outdated, that's why, but the graphics card is just fine and I can play the game without issue as long as I don't crank the texture settings higher than standard.

Then don't worry anything higher then standard does not matter i can't see the diff to tell you the truth.
