The new seek invite function

Did anyone see the seek invite function from patch note?

"[dev1079] Two new options have been added to the party search and recruit features.
Instanced Raid
Seek Invite
* Players using "Seek Invite" as their purpose when searching for a party will appear in recruit searches only when the recruit purpose is also set to "Seek Invite." "Purpose: none" recruit searches will not turn up players who have set their searching for party purpose as "Seek Invite."

I don't get the system and don't see anyone using it. This could me just me.

What do you guys think?

even if they release a ffxi version of the system no one going to use it at least not for a long time due to it not having it from day 1

but no i don't see it myself lol

We've all got used to recruiting for parties in LS chat and using other means. Old habits die hard.

Nope right there with you. :S

edit: Would be nice if there was a visual clue like the flag from XI. (why do you not add useful stuff from XI and add stuff that wasn't so popular??)

I couldn't figure it out. Maybe it's clear as crystal and it's just me, but I gave up.

Basically it adds you to the party list as "Seeking Invite" so that people making parties can see you, as opposed to making a party seeking members.

I've only seen JP users in the Party system, though :S

Eh. I tried it once and managed to get a blind invite. Didn't turn out to be too bad. Anywho, I can't say I really have figured out to use it. Either there is literally no one ever seeking, or when I look for members I am doing it wrong.

I use the system but it needs to take a hint from XI's and give a better comment box (with AUTO TRANSLATE functionality) as well as the ability to Search for all people who are flagged LFG by level range.

I think the system is actually pretty good, just not quite good enough to get people to do anything outside of their LS, sadly

i think its more complicated than it needs to be, even tho its not complicated at all. There should just be 1 button, in your menu that does Seek invite (oh yes like XI lol).

and maybe have a icon for it for aesthetics (oh yes like XI)
