The Ultimate Weapon

AHHH! Speed runners, slow down!!!

Yesterday I finally made it to "The Ultimate Weapon!" WOOHOO! I was super excited. I knew there would be cut scenes but I went in with the full intention of skipping them and watching them in my room later.

So the quest starts:

"Hi guys! First time!"

No reply.

Ok whatever, not the friendliest bunch no big deal.

Then I got a few buffs, added some fists of fire...but...wtf. Everyone was gone!

I am trying to catch up, there are enemies all over, I am running but still getting hit. I have NO IDEA where to go. ...and then a cut scene starts, I mash O as fast as I can to skip it, but by the time my screen loads I am locked out of the fight. It was no biggie because I didn't even know where the fight was!

I proceed, trying to find my way, more cut screens, more messages that the chamber will lock in 15 seconds.

Then there is a cut scene and I am riding magitek armor. Sweet! Where did that come from?

Heck if I know.

UGH! The whole quest was ruined by speed runners. I did not participle in any battles though I did die 3 times trying to run away from mobs. Yippie.

I guess I should be grateful I did not get kicked...but wow... guys SLOW IT DOWN if you have got a first timer.

Also, I did have Party Finder up for over 2 hours before I finally decided to just go with Duty Finder... so "just make a party" doesn't always work.

Sorry for your luck. It does happen all the time though, and probably won't ever change. Don't worry, you will have many opportunities to run it again, the main scenario daily roulette bonus is super nice for myth tomes.

Yeah ''The Ultimate Weapon'' and the other 8 man I forget what it is

But they are full of people that run them for daily tomes that's about it , you get the occasional ''first timer'' that gives a now additional amount of tomes more incentive to complete and as fast as possible to get to other content . Being a healer and running them daily ( I always get Ultimate that's why I forgot the other one) I recommend skipping every cutscene asap and then just watching them on youtube

How did you ride your magi tek without accessing the key panels? Usually I heal or tank for my roulette, but if someone says they are new I usually wait for them.

Isn't there one sitting at the bottom of that ramp next to the shortcut? Not sure if you still need to use the keycard tho.

Edit: NVM, reread post.. Maybe he did use it? Not sure.

The cutscene at the end has you on a magitech armor escaping. I think thats what he is referring to

I wish it was shenanigans, but it was not. I didn't even know about the key panels. However, they showed a cutscene and my character was riding in a MagiTek...eventually I found the Magitek hanger, but I could not access them? Probably because I did not touch said key panel. Oh well.

The cutscene of you blowing up Nero's "door" will show you in magitek armor, even if you never actually clicked the thingy or got in the armor.
