Solo Hunt Rewards (S Rank)

A few days ago I killed the S Rank in Coerthas and admittedly I didn't get there until it was about 40-45% dead so I wasn't expecting the full rewards, so it dies and I get 5 Allied Seals, 20 Myth and 0 Soldiery (I was capped) and I was fine with that result as it was also going in and out of view from the volume of players (On PC btw... this shouldn't be happening still.)

So, I just got done downing the S Rank in Northern Thanalan (Minhocao) and even after wailing on him for the entire duration of his life.... what did I get for it?

5 Allied Seals, 20 Myth, 5 Soldiery...

What? How? Why?

I'd have gotten far more by killing an A Rank from 50% onwards! Heck I'd have gotten more Myth from killing a damn B Rank from 50% onwards!

So why in the hell do S Ranks refuse to give a decent reward despite full participation?!

Because players not in parties are locked out of the rewards from the Hunt content for some reason I cannot fathom. It's quite impossible to get enough contribution by yourself without the party bonus. I've tried a few times so far, and it's quite honestly frustrating. Enough so that I won't bother participating if I can't get a party invite. One time, I made it to Naul when he was at full health just after the pull. I did everything I could, spamming enmity increasers and everything, and got lowest rank credit. Which isn't even enough to satisfy the Hunt bill...

I just got the same reward with a full group. Turns out the others couldn't see the S rank until it was at about 10% health, I was the only one shooting it for the better part of the fight.

Didn't they claim they made the S ranks priority render targets? Because they clearly still disappear all the time.

I hope they do something about it, incredibly frustrating trying to get as much DPS on the Mark and it's just randomly phasing and and out of existence... even Behemoth didn't disappear as much as some of these damn S Ranks.

Well these 2 are both BS as S Ranks clearly do NOT get the highest rendering priority and the contribution threshold has clearly NOT been "eased" otherwise I'd have gotten way more of a reward than I did when I killed an S Rank from 40% before this hotfix...

Yep, unless you mess around with distance and camera angle, you can basically rely on it that you won't see the S rank for even a fraction of the fight. It's strange that they claimed to have made S ranks into priority targets. Nothing's changed in that regard whatsoever.

Check your items I've gotten two blood spattereds without it ''showing up'' and it was in my inventory WOOOOOTTT and that's from no S Rank kills

A and S ranks are meant for parties, by design.

Based on the latest changes, even Bs are now meant for a light party.

I have no issues with this, honestly. Need 3-4 people to kill something? Whatever. What I do have an issue with is getting little credit for not being in a party, especially when there's at least 15-20 others around to kill any given mark. If you attack when it's pulled and continue till it's dead, you should get full credit, regardless of how short the fight is. If someone shows up at -50% then half the seals is reasonable, though. Regardless, I haven't really noticed a change in contribution requirements, which is more obvious outside of a party.

Nearly every A I've been part of killing I've gotten the full rewards from it without being in a party, S Ranks shouldn't differ, I'm still doing substantial damage to the Mark (ilvl102 DRG so not exactly weak hits) for it's entire uptime so I deserve fair rewards and not the same as some random party that showed up in the last 10%
