Hello there, I am having a problem with the config; When i go into it and hit the 'ok' button (doesnt matter whether I make a change or not) it comes up with an error message and it needs to be closed. I've tried reinstalling the game, but to no avail.
Its difficult to play the game without being able to select 'Full screen' ...
Anyone know how to solve this?

I think you had to go to "Font Settings", click "Use Windows system font", chose any font and uncheck the checkbox again.

If a directX update doesn't solve it -> disable DWM
As far as I know, DWM only exists with Vista and Windows 7, I'm using XP...
Download DX9 that on the FFXIV CD
Yeah, use the one on the dvd first and then also use the dx webupdate. Wasn't sure what kind of directX error you meant.
Well I did that, still get the error, but it seems the error message just sits in the background while the game continues to run fine. strange...

if i minimize the game the message comes up, it seems playable though as long as i dont do that, Just wanted to say thanks so much for the help!
