Adjusting the levels of missions?
In the last patch, mission level requirements were changed to be the following:
Never the Twain Shall Meet 15 → 13
Beckon of the Elementals 15 → 13
Calamity Cometh 15 → 13
Fade to White 20 → 18
Together We Stand 26 → 22
I've been a big advocator of condensing our current missions down to finish at about rank 30-35, with new tougher (non-crafter..) missions continuing on from there up to 50.
These changes have left a whopping 8 level gap between the previously rank 26 mission and the currently rank 30 mission. I was wondering whether you guys think they'll carry this on and reduce the levels of higher missions? I do feel there need to be more story missions throughout the levelling process to really give this game the uniquely final fantasy feel other MMOs don't replicate.
If so, how do you think it should be done? I feel like where the missions lead to now is just reaching the end of an introductory stage in the missions, where you've generally explored a lot of the basics and have recognised the major threat.
Any thoughts on this? Do you consider a greater volume of missions important etc? Or should it take a backseat right now?
