Content dependent on clearing coil

I am thinking of taking a break from coiling but am concerned that not clearing coils would lock me out of main quests and other content (besides coil of course) in the future.

Will not clearing coil lock me out from future content?

The only thing you couldn't do in 2.2 without clearing the first Coil, was second Coil. There's a small bit of story with that, but otherwise that's it.

Only thing I know of in last patch is "Sing Me Another Song" quest for ultimate Weapon EX needs a Second Coil T4 clear I believe.

Cool. Good to know that I can enjoy most of the content w/o touching coil

Sing Me Another Song is not Ultima EX

Sing Me Another Song, which requires the second coil clear, is for the Savage version of the second coil.

I am pretty sure Square's plan is that Coil is required for more Coil - and nothing else.

Uh there's no Ultima EX, that quest is for second coil savage mode.

The only thing you wont be able to do at 2.4 is third coil.

The only content lockouts you face from not doing First Coil is Second Coil, and the only content lockouts you face from not doing Second Coil is Savage Second Coil.

It opinion on coils is for future raiders who wanna go to the story of Bahamut. Otherwise other world content is available.
