My stats are 359 craftmanship, 358 control and 345 cp.
I don't have artisan main tool yet, but i have the spectacles, the gear is fully melded, except for the secondary tool, which has only +4 control materia.
Is it possible to craft hq darksteel nuggets from nq darksteel ore with these stats?
Sure !
I've got 354 craftmanship and 343 control and I can do it.
You just need some specific craft skills and a lot of chance ^^
A good combo is with Hasty Hand and Steady Hand II.
Of course it is! You have all your cross class skills, right? With some nq stone soup (buy it from npc vendor) you should be able to get hq nugget over 95% of the time, easy. Here's how I would do it:
CZ->IQ->WN->SH2->HT->HT->HT->BT->BT->Manip->SH2->BT->BT->GS->Ing2->BB->CS2
Swap around BT and HT if you have Good/Excellent on certain steps, use ToT appropriately, and you should be getting hq 98%-99%.
