1.18 Belgian Rofl's seal of approval

Patch 1.18 introduces the Alpha testing of FFXIV's revamped battle system. With the addition of auto-attack (awesome), the current skill set will have to undergo a full revision. Considering the fact that we are currently Alpha testing, it makes no sense to rage every time something is nerfed or buffed.

I'm really loving reading all these raging posts this or that class change. What did you people expect? We all knew that the armory and battle systems would be seeing drastic fundamental changes. If you don't want to be an Alpha or Beta tester, you should just quit playing until Yoshi-P irons out all the kinks (there are A LOT).

Anyhow, 1.18 is the first time FFXIV has seen any real changes. Auto-attack means that battle will be much more tactics based, and will allow for communication during fights. As for content, Yoshi & pals really ought to hold off on that until they design a game that is fun to play. As for the timing of 1.18.... This alpha patch should have been released in February.

If you're pissed about certain early stage balance testing that you are experiencing right now, just stop playing. You people should have used your brains and quit in January when we learned that we'll be playing a completely different game.

Good luck, Mr. Yoshida. You are finally on the right path with this game. Lets just hope you can get crafting, battle, jobs, market system, transportation, & player housing sorted out and fun to play before everyone gets hooked on Diablo 3 and Guild Wars.
