Tam-Tara (HM) Final Boss Casting Issues

During the add phase of the final boss, after I inevitably run into the problem of my offensive casts (Aero II, Stone II) being interrupted (Aero just doesn't cast at all). It looks like I'm turned to face the boss as well, despite having targeted an add. I have tried targeting the adds with tab, through the enemy list, and by clicking them, all to no avail.

At first, I thought it might have something to do with the adds disappearing when they reach the center, but it seems to happen at random. I can still Holy (since it's not targeted), but I ran into a Black Mage last night who was having the same issue.

Anybody else having this problem/know how to get around it? The add phases on that last boss can get pretty close and any DPS I can add would help.

I also want to make sure if it's a bug and not a mechanic I was unaware of before submitting a bug report.

I've had the exact same issue. I checked to see if I had any debuff, etc and am at a total loss. I would be interested to hear from others. You are certainly not alone.

Didn't have trouble myself but saw a reddit comment about issues here when attacking via target of target.

I didn't think about that actually. Most of my offensive skills are macroed for target of target so I can deal some extra damage without going off the tank. Honestly, I don't need the macros anymore, just left them there because they worked. If the adds are targeting Edda, that would explain why I keep getting interrupted.

I've noticed something with this also, having been in there only twice can't say for sure.

But is it when you're targeting mobs on the other side of the room as maybe there is some issues with that aoe bit in the middle, well thats what I think.

Will have to hop in there again to test it out some more.

Are you guys sure you aren't just losing your line-of-sight on the adds? That's the only issue I ever have but I just started distancing myself a little from whatever add I was focusing on.

It was the target-of-target macro that I had set up. Don't know why the Black Mage was having issues, but ever since I've taken out the <tt> line in my macros everything's been working fine.
