Constantly Cancelling Frontlines Queue Pops

SE you really need to do something about the queue pops for not just Frontlines but the overall system in general but moreso Frontlines since its 72 players. i have been playing since launch this morning and have only had a whopping 4 games because of people consistently not accepting the queue. I have clicked Commence to the pop only for it to cancel and see it pop 10+ more times because it will go 60 or even 71/72 and someone drops and then I get spammed with 100+ (not exaggerating) messages that ...

all of this goes on for more than 10-15 minutes and sometimes it even throws me out the queue altogether and I have to re-queue and go through the nightmare again. It's ridiculous. Not to compare this game to other MMOs but in other MMOs that i have played with pvp in them, i don't go through this. I jus click and go.

Duty is broken for a while, especially in 8man and CT content, predictably have the same problem multiplied by 9

Well...you're basically telling Square Enix to tell players to stop cancelling their queue.

It's definitely an issue they need to figure out. This system works well enough with the standard queue of 8, but we already saw with Crystal Tower how badly it can be abused and turned into a headache. And that was only 24 players. I've had multiple times where I've hit 70/72, even 71/72, and the queue resets, because that last person, for whatever reason, did not initiate.

So now we have a system established where a single player can fuck over 71 other players ad nauseam, if they feel the desire to do so. Perhaps a better idea is to have Frontlines be tiered, in that if 24/48/72 queue, that is enough to begin the battle. Obviously if, say, 64 queue, people are getting tossed out. but at least you're getting some people into your content, which is a hell of a lot better than none.

it is easier to enter the 71 participants and expect inside the last, then begin timing... (it also allow time to test different gear)

there is no excuse for this. Just start the battleground when an 8v8v8 is confirmed and add more people in progress, like every other MMORPG with battlegrounds.

This needs to be hotfixed as soon as today, I have yet to join a Frontlines battle and it's 19:10, I was online at 11:40 (GMT+2). One person cannot be allowed to abuse the queue by continuously joining and leaving the queue.

we told SE weeks ago that it will be like that.... like CT, allways someone withdrawing the queue, and here we are, no reaction from SE. I think they must stop trying to make contents and just set FFXIV ARR as a free to play, it's totally a waste of time to expect SE to become smart ....

No. I'm telling Enix there's a better way to create a queuing system that doesn't annoy the crap out of everybody and doesn't cater to trolls. The problem with Enix's queuing system seems to me is that it finds and puts on hold certain players first.That method caters to trolls and pop cancels because its relying on those players to ready up. If their system made the queue pop so whoever doesnt click (based on an internal time clock we can't see), it cancels for only those bros who didnt accept and just rolls to the next eligible player to accept rather than waiting on certain bros. Basically, a hidden rolling queue system that initially pops for everyone and then whoever doesnt click Commence, in say like 10-15 seconds, it will just roll to the next bro to accept rather than forcing all 4, 8, 24 and now all 72 players to redo the entire Commencement all over again, increasing the chances that some other bro is just not going to click either. That way it would avoid 1 person ruining the queue for everyone, everyone would only have to click Commence once and you're also guaranteed to get in a game just from queuing once. I just don't have this problem with other MMOs I play and have millions more players than FFXIV.

This is pretty awful and there is no excuses for this. I agree 100% with the op they need to make it so that when the queue pops the instance is created and if people cancel they get replaced mid way through like every other sane BG system in MMO's.
