Leveling desynth is giving me flashbacks of old ffxi craft leveling. i'm only into the 60s for my goldsmithing desynth skill and i'm only getting .08 or so skill points per successful desynth.
Has anyone gotten above the 60-70 level and found an ilvl that is giving good skill returns?
I've desynthed the fish - leveled up from 0 to 83.72 so far.
Out of 277 desynths I got:
- 195 fine sands
- 32 fine sands HQ
- 1x clear demimateria II
- 1 grade 3 clear prism
- 1x yellow pigment
- 8 green pigment
- 8 red pigment
- 2x blue pigment
- 9x grey pigment
- 1x brow pigment
- 2x grade 5 dark matter
- 1x clear demimateria III (desynth 80+)
Used all big fish for desynth - of course higher ilvl gives higher desynth gains - ilvl80 fish give ~0.3-0.4 per desynth for 50% chance.
working on GSM as well. Currently 67,51 and im crafting some Electrum Needles for 0,5-0,1 skillups. Managed to Desynth Ifrit Blade for Demimateria of the Inferno x3. It was unfortunately just 42% and gave about 0,3 skillup. Going to continue on Needles after I get out of Frontlines.
i finished my day up at 72 doing aetheryte rings seemed to be the best bang for my buck after turquoise earrings. good amount of demimateria and hq nuggets. seeing as i used nq nuggest to mass craft them with some luck it's breaking me even while skilling up and if the demi materia sell profit even.
I've been doing ALC, I'm up over 60 (but I'd have to log on to check precisely where), and two notes, I didn't notice any significant increase in the skill gained for higher level items. If the item is too low a level there is a decrease, but for a book of electrum, at ~40% success rate I still got <0.5 skill up while items for level ~30 gained 0.2-0.7 skill up. I also noticed that items with at least one materia slotted in them had a slight increase in success chances. The slight increase was ~3%, which is irrelevant for items that can't have materia in them, but is worth mentioning.
What I did for leveling was bought 10 weapons off a vendor, desynthed them, then resynthed however many I could, and repeat until my skill up decreased beneath 0.2 on average.
I'm at 78 currently GSM and 72 WVR. Using ilvl 70 stuff (made w/ gc seals) is what I desynth to get .25-.34 skillups.
