Dyes / Clothing

I have another noob question. I swear, i'm trying to search wiki for info before posting! =)

Do I need to be a Disciple of the Hand to actually dye clothing?

I'm a 14th pugilist and I purchased some dye for my gear. I'm now completely perplexed trying to figure out how to actually apply the different colors to my equipment. I notice the gear shows a little bubble on the upper left corner denoting the color currently applied, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to apply a new color.

Then the thought hits me...maybe one of the townie classes gets the ability to apply the dye. I'm not going to have to put a level or two into a DoH am I ???

There's a quest in the north west area of Horizon that will set you on your path. Anyone can dye, btw!

I just got to Horizon. I feel like I did all the sidequests in the area, but maybe I missed something. I just finished learning how to do the levequests and guildhests. Things are picking up, but I HATE my clothes mismatching.

There's an area called the Footfalls to the west/north west. Follow that path and there should be a quest called "Colour Your World" I think. It may be level 15 though, don't be mad at me :p
Edit: you also have to go through a cavern after the Footfalls and up a rocky path. You'll become quite familiar with this area very soon so long as you follow the main quest line.

it is in vesper bay, a lvl 15 quest, and you need orange juice, and orange juice can be bought at the merchant and mender in vesper bay for 7 gil
