2.3 Soldiery Nerf?

With release 2.3, Soldiery tome award has been reduced from 45 to 30 for BF/Halatali/Lost City. Ex Roulette has been increased from 25-35.

There isn't a confirmation of how many we get for TamTara(H)/Stone Vigil(H)/Hullbreaker Isle - at least not that I can see on the patchnotes on lodestone.

Can we assume these 3 will be awarding 45-60 to promote people playing those dungeons (especially coupled with the ExRoulette buff)? Anyone seen anything on this anywhere online?

well they are moving those 3 dungeon down to hi-roulette thus the nerf.. the 3 new dungeons are the new expert dungeons

Yeah I know they're switching around the roulette's but the base tome reward is going from 45 to 30 for BF/Halatali/Lost City. I hope this means the new ones make up the deficit - so I'd expect 60 tomes (plus the roulette bonus, when you do them via roulette).

That wouldn't make up the deficit, that would be overcompensating for it. If the new instances are 45, we would be where we were before.

Does it really matter it just means for every 2 runs you did before you have to do 1 more. I hate doing speed runs and can still do that full dungeon in under 10 mins. Before the change (not counting for bonuses) you would have to do 10 BR runs to cap soldiery. So ~100 mins. After the change you have to do 15 to cap soldiery. or ~150 mins. Yes it is almost an hour difference but that is not counting for the daily roulette bonus or doing ANYTHING ELSE.

All in all I really don't think it is going to make as big a difference as some people think.

Yes, we can assume that the new "Expert" dungeons will likely give 45 Soldiery, give or take. There's no need to cry nerf until we actually have all of the information.

So, yes, it really does matter. You now receive less for the same time you expended before, how can that be viewed by anyone as a positive change?

Thats because the dungeons are easy as hell and you get the bigger reward for the new, supposedly harder dungeons.

Hi, in the new Expert Roulette you receive 45+35 = 80 soldiery tomes, so it is 10 more than before. And 100 myth tomes.

The ones who were expert and now are not, have less soldiery and more myth.

In soldiery tomes it really doesn't matter much, since you reach easily the 450 weekly cap, much more easily than it was for the 450 myth cap in 2.1.

Now the final bosses also give myth tomes, at least in the new dungeons, so I suppose the extra myth on Brayflox HM and similar are on the last bosses so that people don't do 2 boss runs, they will stay just a bit more and get the myth from the last boss, if they have capped the soldiery.

I wonder why people run to complain thinking everything will be worse when it really is better. Myth are much more easily obtained, and soldiery have the same cap, cap that people reached with several days antelation. The soldiery loss will be unnoticeable. 6 expert roulettes and you have capped, less than one daily.

Animus books will be easier to obtain, and for the ones who have them, you can buy alexandrites easier. The ones who are not yet there can buy myth gear, oil for the relics etc. easier too. All is easier except the soldiery cap that stays the same.

Considering I managed to get 196 last night without any roulette bonuses. I think it really wont matter. (1 run of the new CT and 2 of the new dungeons rest were from random hunts) The fact you can only get 450 a week means that you are most likely going to cap anyways. Like I said in my last post I wasn't taking into account any roulette bonuses. Prior to the patch you could do 1 EX roulette a day and cap soldiery. So yes the amount you get per run is less without bonuses. But the amount you need to cap is still extremely easy to hit that you sort of have to try to not hit it if your doing dungeons and things.
