Client Hanging upon Entering South Shroud

As indicated above, I am having an occasional error where attempting to enter the South Shroud will cause the loading wheel icon to suddenly freeze. The client hangs at this point and locks up my PS3; I cannot even force-quit and am forced to cycle the power. Initially I thought this may have been an error within my device (it's an original CECHA-01 model and has been put through its paces over the years; I even had to send it in for a YLOD repair this spring), but today it repeated for the second time in a week at the same zone loading screen. The screen was even in the same state both times it froze (loading wheel visible but unmoving in the lower right corner, text reading "The Black Shroud: South Shroud" visible but only partway faded in, etc.) While it's still possible this is a problem with my device, this degree of coincidence leads me to worry there may be some form of client error for loading the South Shroud map.

As an additional note, both times I encountered the error I was mounted on a chocobo; once on my personal and once on a porter taken from Gridania.
