Please let us skip...

The opening scenes from making a new character. Building arts and having to watch the scenes. Over and over is pointless. Lol. I think I've been told to hear and feel a dozen times

I agree but I believe the reason you cannot skip is due to needing to choose a dialogue option, as you cannot skip those cutscenes at all.
Example the "hey adventurer are you new to ul'dah " or something like that then he asks what you came there for , for fame, for glory etc
And I don't think their system can handle auto picking it for you

Just out of curiosity, exactly how many characters are you making for this to be a problem, and why are you making them all?

I would say the options have no bearing on the game but I could be wrong. I also would love being able to skip it when making a new character.

In addition, you receive an item based on your choice.

The only people it would be a huge problem to would be the RMTs.

My belief is that this was put in place to combat RMTs by simply making them less efficient.

Having 10,000 characters created instantly compared to 10,000 characters created that need to sit through a 5min(ish?) cutscene that is unskippable adds up to the time wasted on the RMTs end.

I say let it stay.

Ya the rings, I have 8 characters, so ya I got sick of the opening cutscenes, but it's only a one time thing.
My wish though is that they change the dancing emote cutscenes, their non skip able yet have no dialogue options to choose.

Well atleast let us skip it to that point lol. It just takes so long to get a character to the point of being able to log out. And as for how many characters I have. 3 so far. Working to get 8 into balmung. As for why? Different races, and I plan to have certain classes certain characters. I just find t fun that way. Ones gonna be a mnk/blacksmith/armourer, one a gladiator/whatever I decided else I want.
My main is sch/cook/fish/bot

I just have my own weird little thing.

See, this is understandable. I didn't even think about this. I was just complaining at my own inconvenience of having to see the old man you only ever see like once sit and talk my ear off.
