Kinda New...Returning Player

Hello there, I am Angelic Pikachu...

I am a returning player I only played the free month + one after launch...once launch hit; after that i pretty much ended up stopping due to RL; didn't get a chance to do much in the way of level and I sure alot has changed since then

Is there any friendly, helpful servers and LC that would be willing to help me relearn all the ropes and things, I am usually very shy and quiet most of the time...sometimes I will be talkative once I am comfortable

Time Zone:
I am PST..but willing to play anywhere NA

I can use Skype and Ventrillo

I do not have a max level yet, i am hoping to one day have one...any jobs for beginner u would recommend

I have a total of 2 characters atm and I guess Durandel...which I believe i used during beta or character restriction times

Unfortunately I play on another server (Ridill, a JP Legacy server), so I think a better choice for you would be to check the forum for your current server (found here: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/f...al%28LEGACY%29 ) as I'm sure there's plenty of FCs and linkshells on Durandal open to new members. :D However you're more than welcome also to transfer to Ridill if you would like and join the small FC I co-own with my partner too. But as we're on a Japanese server the time zone might be really problematic for you. But the offer is there. :)

As for the best class and Job, the way the game is designed you can try all the classes to find one that's right for you (in fact, this is useful as you'll be able to learn abilities to cross class that way) - your current class ACN is a damage dealer and very useful as not only does it have a pet that can fight for you, it's also the only class that gets two Jobs to upgrade to instead of one (SMN and SCH), which are both different in play style.

So continuing as ACN will be a good choice (taking time to also learn CNJ and THM at least some of the way would also be a good idea, as they both have spells and abilities that can be used by ACN, SMN and SCH and will help you out enormously in the long run). :D

Hello. I was in the same place as you are now. I am on Leviathan server. I started a new character when I came back and saved one of the older ones. I play both a bit. Our FC, Leviathan, is mostly higher levels but accepts all and can be kinda fun/insane/etc. if your on this server you can /t or /friend me/FC

or if you are already on Leviathan we have a very friendly linkshell and FC as well.
Can always invite you to the linkshell first so you can get a feel of things.
Leviathan is a populated and friendly server
