PS4 failing to download updated client: Way to download from PC and transfer via USB?

Hello there,

I bought a PS4 yesterday and today finished downloading the 12GB game (bought digital @ PSN).
First, the downloaded game date is from February, 2014! Like really? Update the installer sometimes :/

Anyway, the PS4 is failing to download the patch file, probably due is taking too long and we all know it has wi-fi issues. But I can't wire it.
So, is there any way of downloading on PC and transfer to it via USB, pretty much like we are able to do when updating the ps3/ps4 OS version?

If not, I would like to file that as a suggestion, because sometimes the update patches can go around 1.7gb or so, depending of how much content was added, and downloading on PS4 is troublesome :/
