Timed Instances: Your thoughts?
I'll just say now that this isn't a complaint. I do enjoy the new instances. However...
I can't be the only one who is on the fence about these. Sure, having a timer adds a certain sense of urgency to the experience, but it also seems to encourage the skipping of content. With these timers, groups looking to get past the Ogre in the Dzemael Darkhold often just bum-rush through the place without touching anything in order to have the time to finish. At least that is all I've seen. Some argue it is possible to fight your way there and still have time to finish, and I'm sure it is possible, but you'd still have that clock bearing down on you - forcing you to not take your time.
Does anyone else feel that while these types of dungeons can be fun, they should be the minority in the instanced-dungeons we recieve?
I truly hope that all instances we receive will not be timed like these first two are. I personally enjoy taking my time to fight through instances. I enjoy having time to take breaks, and time to formulate plans while inside the instance instead of trying to piece together a battle plan before even entering the place. Being able to socialize and have a good time between battles, instead of constantly mashing keys and not being able to get a word in edge-wise unless using a VOIP service.
I remember a lot of people complaining about not being able to socialize with the old battle system, yet now that we have auto-attack, there's still instances like these that don't allow much time for people to chat either.
What are your thoughts on them?
