This quest is recommended for Disciples of War or Magic Rank 27. But after Patch 1.18 the location it takes you to is right where the new AmalJ'aan Encampment is located, making it impossible to finish as rank 27. I even changed to rank 50 and stood on top of the marker but the quest did not activate. Tried moving around a bit but since there are mobs up to level 68 around I had to bolt because of aggressive monsters.
Ok, so if anyone else searches for this and has the same "problem"; The mobs for this quest were moved west of where the quest map ??? shows. Find the Amal'Jaa "Grunts" and that will drop the quest item.
Might want to post this in a bug report, so they can move the ???.
It's the lower level Amal'jaa that you have to kill. Not the r50ish ones.
For me, there was only one Amal'jaa Drudge that spawned at a time. Those are what dropped the quest items.
I found them on the SE side of the mound.
They're level 30 Amalj'aa Grunts. They drop the item every time you kill one. I spent a while killing the other Amalj'aa till I saw these lower level guys on the other side of the encampment.
