Misc. Suguesstions, (including more Weapon space)

Okay So I have some suggestions regarding the Armory Chest and the Atma weapons (And no it isn't about the drop rate)

• My first suggestion is a split of the weapons part of the Armory Chest into sections based on class. (Swords get one section, staves another, lances get more space,) This is more for people that play more than one job and need extra space for the weapons (Whether for Glamors or otherwise). I suppose there might be some issues with new job integration
• My next suggestion is to change the Atma weapons model to incorporate the crystals into the models (Because it would be cool to have a Rainbow circle like the one in this picture on your weapon.) I also have suggestions on where the crystal go:
  • Thyrus and Stardust Rod: Right below the top of the staff (You can have it orbit the comet on the stardust rod instead)
  • Gae Bolg and Bravura: Either on the blade or at the bottom of the weapons
  • Onmilex and Veil of Wiyu: the covers, natch
  • Holy Shield: Front and center
  • Curtana: There are many places the crystals can go but I think the handle/hilt is the best place for it
  • Spariai: at the "neck" of the fists
  • Artimis Bow: I have no idea where it should go
• My final suggestion is simply more inventory/retainer space.

So what do you think of these suggestions?

When they add a new job, we will definitely need more space. Except for accessories, my armoury is almost always full and I play all jobs so they are all geared.

While I certainly appreciate more inventory/retainer space, I also don't like the idea of gluttonous design. For the Armoury Chest, there really isn't very much need for an overblown inventory for it... yet. Even if you had max levels on each of them, you're still only (essentially) going to use one weapon for each. That means 20/25 inventory slots if you decide to carry a weapon for each class. You don't need to hold onto the items you Glamour, so those can be stored with the retainer and (I think) the armoire, if applicable, without losing the effect.

The grand majority of goods from events can be stored in the armoire, so that shouldn't be too much of a problem with the things that can't. Mind you, this is coming from someone with 4 retainers, all full or near full (as in 165+/175), and near maxed inventory/armoury chest at any given time. I'm my own problem on inventory space. It's not the design, it's my own stubborn habits. I made do with 2 retainers, like everyone else did, and somehow I fill up 2 more retainers in a short span of time? It's a sign of hoarding. While a part of me would love more space to just fill with stuff that I "might" need, the other part wants to stop this lol.

I wish they would add a text inventory option (like what NPC vendors have). Hoovering my mouse over the icons to see the item name is poor design in my opinion.

You would think that since there are 20 jobs you should only have 20 weapons/tools. But when I work on atma/animus weapons, I have two weapons for that job because before I get an animus weapon, I use alagan or wave because they are better.

And the armoire doesn't hold much. You can only put AF in there and tools. I am not putting tools in there because I craft all the time. You can't even put AF+1 in there. Oh and seasonal event stuff, so it's basically useless.

Also I have a ton of armor so that is full too. My optimal gear setups change as I acquire new pieces of gear. Each new piece sometimes changes other pieces to optimize stats.

But see that's only a handful of slots. Nearly all of the items that you can't store in the armoire from a seasonal event can be bought from the Calamity Salvager, so hoarding those doesn't really serve much purpose. And short of doing the Atma/Animus thing for all combat classes simultaneously (which I highly doubt anyone would), still only differentiates by an additional 9 slots for weapons. The armors, again, not really much of a big deal. With the exception of the AF Myth pieces, some of the gear you'd use at 50 share jobs, so that also drops it by a decent amount. One retainer is generally more than enough to store everything, along with using the Armoury Chest.

I may not have a lv50 on all combat classes/jobs, but I do have 50 on all gathering/crafting ones, along with the i70 weapons for nearly all of them. I hoard mostly materials, along with low lvl combat gear that I "might" use for the jobs I haven't maxed.
