Got 6 Atmas in a few hours last night

I have 3 Scorpion, 2 Maiden and 8 of the others. I only need the Scales and Crab. Basically, my friend and I started farming at about 9 PM from the top of the list and whatever ones we had, we skipped. If one got a drop, the other agreed to move on. He's a smoker, and I'm not, so whenever he stepped out for a cigarette at his place (we were on PS4 chat), I would jump back and go after the one he just got. What's funny is that I got every one of them in that short time. :D To make matters worse, he said, "Just keep running fates, I'm going to microwave some dinner." I got more! So finally at 3 AM, I talk him into running one last fate, and I was so glad when he got the Atma of the Crab. I didn't, but that's cool. I can run them later. Then he says, "How many tomes you got?" Like 344 or something. "Dude! You'll be the only person with all the Atma stones and no way to finish the damned thing!" Let's run Whorleater all weekend! I gotta run Howling Eye HM as a WHM and extreme as a Bard. That should get some. :D

Anyway, 2 to go. No, I can't give you a magic ingredient. Didn't have to be there for every second. Didn't have to kill every mob. There was no synchronization with a Japanese clock... It's pure luck, and I know that I've just been lucky thus far.

One more to get. Got the Crab, just waiting for the scale. This is the only one that I actually have spent some real time farming, and man, I can see the frustration factor! Kill this from, and this spriggin, and this ant... and we're off!

Eric, you may want to consider witness protection. ATMA stories with happy endings are frowned upon in these forums. Prepare to be assaulted by those with less success in securing their ATMA's.

3 more fates later. Hit one fate, next was done when I got there. 30 seconds in the next one -- Atma of the scales. Of course, that's only one set, and I have to decide which weapon to put it on, but now it's time to farm tomes. Really? I have to admit, I was freaking lucky!!! I want to yell it to the world, but outside of FFXIV, no one gives a crap. LOL

Good thing I have one-time password. I'm serious on that one. And with deconstruction of weapons coming, this will be even more seriously important.

I honestly and sincerely wish everyone the same luck I have had. I hope I have as much luck with further farming of Atmas (I want all of my characters at 50 with at least a Zenith or better weapon).

I've completed over 1000 FATEs without a single Atma drop

At this point, I'm going for that robe you get for doing 3000 FATEs, because it's a more likely achievement than even getting a single Atma item.

I only got my achievement for 1,000 fates this weekend, and I had run more fates leveling characters in classes than Atma. I sincerely wish you the best of luck, The_Juggler.

Actually its the other way around, Come in and post your stats and if they are not completed or not what Duuude thinks is correct and he will be sure to insinuate that you are doing one or more things wrong. Happy stories are always welcome and congrats on your easy atma. Mine took 40+ hours for all 12 which is one thing i wont do again. The Animus stage has actually been quite refreshing honestly. I dont mind the grind when i can see progress with every move.
