Considering that a number of spells had their MP costs increased, maybe a slight buff to radiance would be in order. Instead of the 5% we are getting now, perhaps 10% would suffice.

well obviously damnation would also.
There could also be a radiance II and damnation II at some point >.>
Bump. I was going to start a thread on this topic.
Both Damnation and Radiance are really underwhelming. You say you're getting 5% of your MP back with these abilities? I think the most I've ever gotten (while on my 50 CON) is 30-something MP. Usually it's much more pitiful, like 7 or so.
If they could make these abilities more effective I think we'd see less unhappy mages. I think the return of ~10% would be more than sufficient. For me, that would be around 100 MP - which is what I get, on average, from a successful Siphon MP.
Hopefully they'll look into strengthening these abilities in the next patches.
Usually when I use these skills on mobs I get like 5-10 mp back.. Pretty much useless except the dmg can be ok sometimes.
Yes.
MP return should be buffed
Damage and accuracy should be buffed
Accuracy should be able to be increased via piety
self buffs should be able to effect mage weaponskills
mages need AOE-weaponskills
mages need to gain TP via spells
A Radiance and Damnation buff would be very nice.
This would also be very nice since right now we can only get TP through the basic attacks (which have pretty long cooldowns) or auto-attack (and I really don't want to be standing close enough to hit the monster with my staff).
In boss fights where MP management is critical, it takes me forever to get enough TP for Radiance, and the MP return is so low that I usually rather use Levinbolt II which costs the same TP and does DoT.
I really don't understand why we mages can't get TP from spells. It feels like we're getting penalized for using magic, which often does the same damage as the physical classes attacks do. Except they have free use of TP. I don't use Damnation any more because it costs too many Action Points, is difficult to accumulate TP for reliably, misses at least half the time, does only so-so damage, and doesn't restore MP worth taking note of.
As our first TP using skill, it's really very disappointing.
We'll be making adjustments to the MP recovery amount for Radiance and Damnation in the future based on your comments. In addition, we're looking into the possibility of Conjurer and Thaumaturge generating TP through the use of magic spells when we make further class-related adjustments.
