Problems with Xbox 360 controllers as of last patch

I have been using a wired 360 controller since i started playing in march just before the 2.1 release. Everything has worked flawlessly up until about the last patch, when now my controller either randomly stops responding all together, or decides to switch itself to player 2 mid fight. Unplugging the controller and plugging it back in again seems to fix the issue, but if i wanted to get up and walk across the room to fix the issue, i wouldn't be complaining. I've wiped several groups, and am now benched for my static group due to my inconsistency. This issue does not happen in ANY other game. I have 398 steam games, I've tested at LEAST half of them.

So if anyone sees this and has an answer, I would love you forever.

I hope you get this resolved. I just wanted to mention that I too use a wired 360 controller and am experiencing no problems. That of course doesn't mean that it isn't an issue.

Wireless xbox controller. It turns off on me. I do t know if it's the game or not, but it doesn't do it on landmark.

I use a PS3 controller mapped as xbox one (better support than standard 'generic' controller). The only issue I have is when I switch from a wired to a bluetooth (or the inverse) and I need to restart game and somewhat even run calibration again because it totally bugs the buttons.

I have been running into this since 2.28 with a wired Dual Shock 4 controller, I have tried different controllers, different USB ports, and different USB cables and it is still happening.

I posted this as a bug, instead of just a Technical support issue, it was moved to Accepted, and then to Not a Bug

Hopefully, if more people see this issue and report it, someone on the dev team will be able to reproduce it and fix it, or roll back the change in 2.28 that caused this to start happening

I use a wired xbox 360 controller and i too have had sum issues since 2 patches ago only when playing FFXIV mostly have noticed it with movement ill be running to a fate or thru a dungeon and i just stop and cant move at all for like 3-5 seconds then i can move and its totally random when it does it.I know its not the controller cuz it only happens when playing FFXIV
