11023 Unable to access server for version check.

I have a desktop and a laptop. My desktop is giving me this error about 2 seconds after starting FFXIV.

I uninstalled FFXIV on my desktop and re-installed it with the collectors edition DVD. Still get this error.

My desktop computer is wired into the router, which is then wired to a modem.

My laptop works fine, which is wireless, and the new patch updated no problems whats so ever, in fact I am in game as i write this...

I have been playing FFXIV on both computers since closed beta and never had a problem what so ever with either since tonight with my desktop.

have you checked your port forwarding setting you may also be able to just download the patch and do it manuly

Where/how can you manually download the patch?

Well I ended up uninstalling it and re-installing it again and now it works. My laptop worked the whole time.
