Please SE, no more crafting mat dungeon rewards.
After 50, the point of running 'endgame' dungeons is to get loot. Right? The staggered level of dungeon difficulty is in place so that you can jump from easy content, to medium, to hard, all the while getting better and better equipment from dungeons. Right?
It is extremely frustrating to try and gear up a class with crafting materials hogging up the loot pool. Especially as a DPS, you have to wait for a long queue, and then (for those who actually NEED gear from the dungeons like Hardflox or LCA get ridiculed/abandoned for having "bad" gear), if your party doesn't ragequit on you for not being max iLvl for speedruns you actually get to complete a few boss fights. What do you get? Voidsent Blood. ....Or my personal favorite, Filtered Water! The dungeon itself gives more gil than these materials sell for.
This is an awful mechanic and needs to stop now. How does it make sense that I have run enough new-gen dungeons to fully max out a class with i100 soldiery equipment, but STILL have not completed a single set 5-piece armor set of i70 dungeon drops from these new dungeons. These materials can already be bought from the GC, allowing people to trade in dungeon drops they don't want for seals > crafting mats. Why do you get spammed with them at a rate of 2-3:1 materials to gear when trying to get actual dungeon drops.
It's probably way too late to see a change for LCA/Flox/Halatali, but hopefully if we make some noise these kind of mechanics can be discouraged in the future dungeons.
