Hello, so may I please ask multiple ways that this has been obtained besides npc? One more thing fellow gather's how has your luck been finding these off nodes? Can you estimate a drop rate?
I feel they drop worse than shards do when gathering, just as band as despected crystals do.
i got 2 x Grade2 in about 10 minutes of a rank10 botany leve
They are listed as guildleve rewards once in a while and they are also purchasable with Grand Company seals.
I know one of the vendors sells them in Ul'dah, and probably the other towns too.
They drop in place of shards when logging.
yeah I am having a hard time getting em from loging n mining, therefore forget it. too many complaints, I spent all of yesterday and day before doing leve's locals waiting on logging botany, then doing quests. I finally dinged 24 botanist, i'll probably log on sunday or monday refeshed to complete quests.. how much sp can i get from rank 38 storyline quest if I am rank 24 botanist?
after this rank up i move on to new content and maybe... linking levels in bw.. with pug or grinding in exp on mobs. once in a while i'll mine/log and look for grade1-5 (depending on what I need) Dark matter. My gear may remain at 0% for a while I do a lot and have lots of gear to repair.
That is nice to hear that it replaces shards.... the drop rate feels as bad as despected crystsl, but if it is same as hards, then there must be a bug, they need to fix it for gathering.. what are the going prices for the dark matter depending on grade?
the npc's that sell them also... so there is on in each city? I heard that the npc that sold them was at the alchmist guild if that is not the case oh well. The need to increase the rate to that of shards on it or a little lower.. in gathering it is dropped at the same rate as deaspected crystal.
