So I'm curious, how do lalafell communicate with other races?

I look at you guys way down there, and can't help but think when we big folk speak, it's like any of those movies where someone gets shrunk and the when the big people talk it comes out really slow, booming and totally incomprehensible.

So is there some kind of magic involved? Do they train to read lips? Are they really just smiling and nodding to us the whole time despite only hearing whaa whaa whaaa whaa?

You mean lalas can hear people talk....?

It would seem the biggest invention ever in Eorzea is the lalafellin step stool.

Since you are referencing EPIC word for word, First Big people don't talk slow because they are bigger the fairy's of epic live faster, their regular movements and comprehension are essentially so much faster that a human that we appear as in slow motion it has nothing to do with size. Second every talked to a little kid who spoke the same language, or do you remember being a little kid? it's no different. As far as FF14 world goes, only the highlander and roeg are actuality tall enough to represent me, so the height difference isn't very much.
