So Square Enix, when can we get a paid service to change names? Will this take another year to add or?

I imagine they're discussing this internally still due to the possible repercussions of it, such as people amassing a bad reputation for themselves then purchasing a name change and character transfer, only to terrorize some other server.

I wanted to change my name for character reasons (fantasia and wanna use something else etc) but then I realized if people could buy name changes what would be the point of blacklisting? Some guy acts like a jerk to everyone, gets BLed all over, changes his name, bam has no problem being a terrorist in party finder again. So now I'm really against it.

This is actually already possible to do.

If they do implement this, it would be nice if there is some way to show all previous aliases on the Lodestone. :3

Already ingame. It cost you 2 server transfers.

And if they bring a name change service with no server transfer, but would still cost like 2 server transfers (so only the players change the name who want it really really bad)?

I think they should offer a 1 time name change as a reward for being subed for so long. Like 6 months or 1 year. Would be fair. Like for me. I want to change my last name. That's all I need. And I would do the server transfer, but my server being balmung, getting back to it could be troublesome lol.

if you noticed on lodestone the # at the end of our url.. that is our in-game character # so to speak. if there was a name change option and people where concerned with blacklisted people getting around their misdeeds, then they could just make it so when we blacklist someone it actually blacklists that number and not the name.

should cost less than a server transfer.
Lets say you have a character that you wanna use a fantasia potion on. You have a female character name. You wanna go male and buy the fantasia. So you think its fair that you should leave FC. Tell all ur friends that u must server transfer. Pay DOUBLE character transfer pluss fantasia potion fees. Wait for the time it takes to finish transfers, come back rejoin everything maybe you was even in 8 linkshells. A friendlist full of friends.
