STOP THE BOTS!

SE This needs to stop. To many botters are getting away with cheating and its starting to cause an issue. I have been reporting people for a week now on hyperion and FC's at the top are starting to get out of control. I can show you videos I have recorded of these botters if thats what it takes. I can even name people off.

It's starting to ruin my experiance in this game. I'm having trouble finding full fate parties because of it and speed runs are almost gone now because bots would rather farm fates. I mean why not? They are getting away with it with no action taken towards them.

I don't know what you are talking about... bots farming fates? Show us your video then.

Maybe he is one of those "Thy don't talk to me when I scream at them, so they have to be bots"

running around mining watching movies suddenly an agitated lala "I REPORTED YOU*cussword* BOT *cussword*"

it teleported away without an anwser =_=

seemingly running around from node 1->2->3->4->1 and so on is botting.
Same thin with fates. or anything else tat requires you to move in a more or less weird pattern

there are bots doing dungeons why is it so hard to believe there are doing fates ? I have mixed feelings with bots, if you think of it when you do repetitive things on and on and on again you too are a bot, so if you see me mining iron, gold ore or what not, constantly for hours at end...you would think I am a bot...you can send mea /tell doesnt mean I will answer so you would report me for botting right ? in fact I dont bother with /tells so w hat ? I am a bot ?

I prefer to see actions taken agaisnt RMT rather then bots....those dont bug me unless in a dungeon but then again you can always kick it..

So you are telling me that people tend to run to the same spot every time a fate is not up facing the same way and moving with afk sign up?

Oh how about the fact that I would wait to turn a fate on like the earth spirit one in northern thanalan and they all come running the moment it turns on but no one will bother with it until then. How about the fact that sometimes these "playing people" run back and forth like the program is trying to decide if it wants to run back to the spot and wait or run to the fates.

Bot's are easy to find and you may not want to believe it because you may be one yourself. All it takes is a little time to see the pattern. I will be posting these videos shortly.

Also most RMT started by botting.

Idk, I saw a BLM in Mor Dhona who would run to 3-4 fate spots on the eastern side of the map. He would only cast bliz 3 on anything he fought, and when his health would dip below 70%, he would spam physick. It was almost mechanical how consistent this was. And when the mob was dead, he would either fight lightning sprites, or sprint to the next nearby fate. I sent him a couple /tell but got no response. I'm not saying that the lack of response was an indicator that he was botting, and all of this evidence was circumstantial at best. But when its added all up, it felt like a bot.

Spam bliz III and physick at 70% health allows you to maintain enough resources that you can continually fight and be away from keyboard. There are plenty.. PLENTY of other ways to utilize blm abilities to efficiently kill fate mobs. But if I were going to bot, this is how i'd set it up. Just sayin...

And considering how many times I see sponsored bot adds for ffxiv in my facebook feed, I imagine that someone has to be using them.

Botting is happening sadly, last week me and a few friends joined a group of people gathering near horizon,
Watching a floor show of at least 30 THM bots, all wearing same gear and following same pattern killing mobs, it was comical due to how many their was. A lot of us reported it, I was lucky enough to speak to a GM who even confirmed they had been to the location and looked but said they can't do anything about it as their task force team will need to investigate it.
I mean c'mon if the GM saw them and how many their was how can they believe it natural.
