Grand Company's & Gear

I'm still getting though all the info so i'll apologise if I'm wrong here.
This is all based on in 1.19 or beyond were forced to pick a grand company.

If your going to force people to pick a company base on their main class in 1.19, should you not at least link it to the city state that has that guild?
And what happens with jobs, if your classes and the job you want are in different ones?
Or people with 2 classes they like but they are in different ones?
Or people who simply don't like that company and want another?

I would rather see different version of every weapon in stats or looks in each one, then be made to join the UL one as an archer.
Or nothing class specific in any but the armour being DoW/M and having a different look (that could be interesting)..
Anything just so I'm not forced to lose out on the story I want or the gear I can collect.
(and having all the story the same once your not a recruit isn't the same thing)

(I'm really grumpy here as I hate being stuck in or near UL, yet as an archer atm it looks like I would be forced to yet again.
And it makes no sense at all as far as I can see in any way.
I had picked Gridania to match my archer to its city state, as I would have loved to be in LL again after the time I spent in beat and getting to finish the storyline).

I also think it would be cool of SE to have the same stat items with just different names and looks. :)

the the patch notes it mention the UI for the "grand companys" you are a member of. is the plural a typo or will be by able to be a member of more then one.

Grand Companies

Lists the Grand Companies you have joined, your standing within their ranks, and your company seal totals.

Yeah I did noticed it seems like you can join all when you read some text (or comments from past info) but then it also seems like you might have to choose from other comments, I just really wanted to voice my concerns here..

Hopefully your all right and my concern is pointless.
Other then thinking its a bit off having the items not in line with the associated guild/city state.

i have no idea myself, i just thought it was interesting that the patch notes pluralized it.

You can join all of them right now, but we might have to pick later.

It will be interesting to see how they deal with rewards vendors, but I would think it would be wisest to have similar gear for all of the companies considering how the class system works, and considering how the job system in the reasonably distant future will effect the rewards as well.

We also should be able to see the rewards in game prior to joining them so we can make a good decision.
