ilvl in signatures/lodestone rather than level.

At this point in the game, there's little reason to care what a person's level is any more. When you're evaluating a player, L50 could mean someone brand new who hasn't beaten CM or someone who has farmed the Second Binding Coil and owns every pony.

Can we please offer code that allows displaying a person's last known ilvl per each job, and have the system record this on the server for lodestone to read? I know these are tied to local data, but a snapshot of the server seeing average gear score should not be too challenging.

Let's not please. There's enough idiocy surrounding ilvls as it is. They are made private for a reason. Same reason any DSP metering will be made private.
