Regarding personal rooms - Request for Public Housing

This is a polite request to the development team to consider a Public Housing system for:

1. people in a Free Company without a house
2. people not in a Free Company

For one, my server has no houses for sale that my company can afford. I know they are adding one more instance for each of the areas in the next patch, but I'm afraid that won't satisfy the demand for many small FC with limited budget.

By this request, I mean they could set up a big Public House (e.g. Mog apartments (?) in each housing area set up by 3 state governments) and allow the above people to set up a room for a price. Public Housing is in the real world; why not in Eorzea, for the less fortunate?

This way, all players can participate in housing part of the game. It may:

1. Increase traffic to the housing area - less deserted areas & more fun for everyone!
2. Create a sense of belonging to everyone who owns a 'room' in Eorzea - an emotional attachment
3. Boost the furniture/housing market
4. Create something for people to do (esp. if they had not previously owned a house)

Right now, the Housing system is only for the 'have's' - and just allowing people WITH a FC house to set up a room will only increase the gap.

I realise that 2.4 will also bring personal housing; but if it's in any way like the system now, only the have's will likely be able to afford it. The small FC's, casual players, new players, lone wolfs should be given a chance, in my humble opinion.

1. I like that there isn't a lot of people crowding around the market board closest to my house, my FC paid so we could get out of the city. In a weird way this helps the community I think, I know my neighbors that use the same market board as my FC.
2. They already provide you with a room, it is the inn room, if you want the perks that come with paid housing, pay for housing.
3. Not much in game can or will boost the market for any reasonable amount of time, and the furniture market is already dead from crafting being so easy to level, more demand won't make for higher prices in my opinion, just more undercutting.
4. If you don't already have a house then you already have something you can do, save up to buy a house.

They already make all the relevant content in this game easily accessible to small FC's, casual players, new players, and lone wolfs, this is actually something you have to work towards if you want it, and I think we actually need more content like this.

They've already said they plan to come out with personal housing eventually, it's just not going to be ready with 2.3, and there's no date set for when it will be

Actually in Tuesday's LIVE Letter it was mentioned that they're targeting 2.38 I believe for personal housing. In any case, yes you have the Inn room for free. Exactly how small is your FC? I don't even craft and in a little over a month I amassed 1 mil just doing beastman dailies and roulettes and selling coins my retainers brought back. Even if you only have 4 people that's 500k per person. That is very easy to save up. Start saving up now and get in and purchase some property right away when they add the new Wards if you're concerned the small plots are going to get gobbled up. If it makes you feel any better you can blame all the individuals creating 1 person FCs and buying houses because they're too impatient to wait for personal housing for the small plots getting gobbled.
